ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

buzzing noise and sport shift light on

i started my cb this morning [about 30f] and i herd a buzzing noise in the dash and sport shift light on .. i was lost if i put my foot on the brake or put it in gear the noise want away .. but the sport shift light stayed on, so i had to drive it . i drove down the road but no power ..mad.. i`m lost.. why me ... so i puled over turned the cb off and looked under the hood ..hummmmm ...hummmmm then i remembered about reading a post where some one had pulled the ecu fuse out waited 5 sec and put it back in .. so i did that and then it was like it never happened... all was good ...i drove it all day no problems
i`m guessing it was a bad ground ......any help would be good for me

Might have wobbled loose or some dirt got in there. Clean it out and put some of that dielectric grease in there.

This has happened to me before. My TCU shorted, and resistors inside of it had fried.

The buzzing is the relay of the shift interlock control unit going in and out.

Replace the TCU with another 90-91 TCU - but be sure to open it up and check for fried circuitry (if you pick one up at a junkyard, to be sure it'll work!)
        My pictures/photos will return soon...

            unfortunately, yeah

open up the ECU/TCU kickpanel and pull the TCU out. if you smell around the connectors, it should smell like burnt electronics. if it doesn't, open it up and verify that it is indeed fried. then get back to us!

Honestly, I'm not entirely sure; but I doubt it. Just wanted to verify that it is indeed a fried TCU.
