ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

My engine is a F22A5, pretty much an A6 in the states. And some of you guys mentioning the pricey parts i urge you to read again. I will be getting a second car in a few months and THEN i will start building up the cb. And yes most of the parts will be from Bisi. But till then i just wanna a little more throttle response and a few hp wouldn't hurt lol. How good quality wise is the megan header? coz i've read some mixed responses.

Most people have said that their header is good. Pretty much any header except for the Bisi header is going to give you about the same hp gain though. If you're just wanting a few extra hp for the time being until you purchase and build your other cb then I would either keep the stock header that you have or swap to a header from an F22A4. The only difference in that one and a Megan or ebay header is going to be the way it looks.

Second car's gonna be a r34 skyline sedan . Thats gonna be my daily, whereas the cb is gonna be a one of kind here in australia. So what if i was to just do exhaust and cai? Still a noticable response in throttle?

It won't be a whole lot but you should notice a difference. The Bisi header made 27hp on a stock untuned F22X. If you had that header, an exhaust, intake, and the Bisi intake gasket you would notice a good bump in hp. If you're going to spend the money on a header I would go with Bisi as nothing else is going to be worth it really. Then again it's going to cost you lol. Getting those parts and getting it tuned would be where I started. Just my ,02

BLkwlf, a bisimoto header will provide you with a quicker throttle response. Also a bisi cam would help you.

Guys i understand and know how amazing the bisi parts are. And to repeat myself again "i will be building my cb with bisi parts once i get the second car". Coz if i have my daily driver in the shop all the time its gonna make it rather difficult to go to work. Also i plan to turbo the cb, so that header would pretty much be useless for such a build. SO PLEASE STOP MENTIONING THESE PARTS LOL! I only want to do something minor to get a little extra throttle response.

Also rob can you give me a quote on some custom 9.9.1 pistons with coating including shipping to australia?

ur already looking at upgrading ur header. if you do, dont waste your money on anything cheap like that. sure it will help some, but the bisi header installs just as easy as any other. if you want something real unique, you should get this header and do a rear turbo setup. not sure if some1 here has done a rear tubo on a cb yet. i'd like to see it tho!

also, DO NOT get the p12 as ppl have suggested. that is only an upgrade to the f22a1. stick with the pt6 or get a chipped po6 as ppl have said. not sure if u consider that a "build mod" or not, just a suggestion.

The megan header is a good beginner header, its cheaper than dirt and looks great, just dont get finger prints on the chrome or else it will burn in and look like ass. You dont need a tune, but a tune always can help. I am running a short ram, megan 4-2-1 header, 2.25" piping, no cat, into a twin loop muffler, it sounds great. Since i put on the 4-2-1 Header i noticed the torque band didnt go up much but it has a longer duration. thats the increase in performance you will notice it will pull hard longer.

I wouldnt recommend getting a bisi header. its really expensive and hes using it temporarily so it would be a waste of money, megan is good cuz its cheap. im just using mine because i am going to make my car a project and get another car for a DD

I agree. For a relatively cheap build with some results..I would look into megan racing products. Bisimoto products are like the lexus' of parts...while megan is like the chevy cavalier. Both get you where you are going, one is more effective, and one costs less.

Cool. Thanks guys. Yeah will definately be talking to bisi about a turbo manifold. Pretty much all the internals will be from him anyway when i start the build. Cant wait to get the other car next year so i can actually start.
