    Try setting your idle.

    Turn car off.

Unplug IACV and jump service connector in lower right passenger kick panel with a paper clip.

    Start car.

Look on the throttle body for the adj. screw. It is in the top left corner on the side that the intake tube connects to.

Turn screw until idle is around 500-700 RPM (the mark above 0 on the tach is 500).

    Turn car off.

Un-jump service connector and plug IACV back in.

    Start, and enjoy!

check all your vacuum lines to your intake, I had a buddy that had one plug off and it raised his rpm's at idle.

To me, it sound like you have a bad Fast idle thermo valve.
Accord 93 LX: H23 intake mani, Ebay short ram, P12 ecu, Full exhaust. Lots of noise... and that's about it, just noise. LOL
Mazdapeed MX-5 04: Begi Intake, Forge BOV, Ebay FMIC. Whoooooooosh... Phhhff!

Driven the car yet? I had this problem when, after I lifted up my carpet to dynamat the floorboard, I didn't lay the carpet back down right and it caught my gas pedal, which pulled it down a little bit, and revved it up. if your car tries to take off as soon as you shift it in gear, your problem is something is opening the throttle.

Does it still idle up and down? Or is it just staying steady really high?

If it's reving up and down I agree that the FITV bad, but if it's just idling really high, reset the idle.

So when you were setting your idle, you got it down to 600-700 RPM Right?

If you did, then the problem may lay in the IACV, Try taking it off and cleaning it with carb cleaner.

If you couldn't get it that low by using the screw on the tb, I think you may have other problems.

                    Try this.

Take your Intake tube off and look inside the tb.

Take a look at the plate on the inside of the tb. It should be closed nearly all the way with very little or no gap between the plate and tb.

Also, There are 2 holes on the inside of the tb right in front of that plate. They bypass air to the idle control valves. Try covering each of them with your finger while the engine is running and see if anything changes.

If nothing changes, It may be your TPS...

I would agree with that. When I did my coolant line re-routing, the idle would change due to the weather, in the winter to idle would jump to around 3000rpm's and in the summer, spring, fall it would be right around 750-800rpm's. Check your fast idle thermo valve.

i dont think its the tps i think it a vacumm leak or sumthing to do with the iacv or fitv cause frm my experment tps will not raise the rpms of your motor it will add more fuel but if the motor doesnt have more air coming in it will just runn richer i thought mine was going bad so i hooked my an ol tb i had laying around to mi wiring harness and it did nothing even when i turned the tb

                        h22a4+p2u5 trans+8000rpm= 135mph in 4 gear

well i got a new fast ldke valve and plan to put that on today to see if that is the problem because now its back to revving up and down. my dumbass had a friend check the TB and he took it off and forgot to plug back in the TBS that's why it was rving to 300 made me feeling really dumb but any way today ima try that new fast idle valve. hope it works.
