I have this issue with my car. Everytime I get out the car & come back , my battery is dead and doesn't crank or start. But I know I brought a new battery and work fine. So I started looking at the alternator section founded out the plug of the alternator was loose its the green plug. So I put back the plug to alternator & the car start after I plug back in. But the next few miles away to my house my car started to die... when looking under the hood that green plug was loose again? How much is to replace that plug? and could someone tell whats the name of the plug?

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)
Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.
These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.
1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.
2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.
3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.
4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.
The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.
The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Alternator problems???

This EXACT problem happened to me and I had new battery too.
That green plug is for alternator voltage regulator section. Remove that green plug from alternator, pull each terminal out the back of the green connector housing. Crimp each of these terminals tighter, connecting them to their respective terminal on the alternator itself to test. Once all are snug and tested, push them back into the green connector housing. Reinstall the green plug and go test your car. Should work.
If your battery still does not charge, then have your alternator tested and/or replaced. Do not do this until you do the above or you maybe wasting money.

I'm still having a problem with the alternator it seen it wont charge for some reason. They told me the alternator is good working conidition, but the stupid green plug is already plug in tighter & wont fall off. The alternator seem to charge alittle but wont charge fully & makes my car die quickly at times, I'm really frustrated with this battery issue & no crank for several weeks now.
Should I go test the battery out? or buy another green plug?

Okay still have a problem , Everytime I start the car the alternator charges the battery (Battery is Brand New) while in park but when I go driving hitting the gas pedal the alternator stop charging the battery. The whole interior get dim? but when I stop at the stop light I have to put neutral because I notice it charges while I put neutral or park. When the light turn green it charges the battery only few min but stop charging till I stop at the stop light while putting neutal or park. What wrong again?
