ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    Acceleration Problem!!

SYMPTOMS: Engine shakes/jerks when in any gear as long as im driving. Like if it was going to die or drinking last drops of gas. Then i hit the gas and it shakes more violently. It doesn't go anywhere just shakes. It happens at any speed except on first gear.

Well I got on the Express Way got up to 70 and slowed down to 50 then i tried to get up to 70 again so i hit the gas but to my surprise, i get absolutely no response. I down shifted to 4th and hit the gas again NO RESPONSE! It only sputtered/bogged/jerked a little bit. Gas pump? injectors?

The first time that it did it I was going 20 miles and the car started to shake/sputter/jerk. I happens every now and then but its getting common.

    any help will be appreciated!!!

You don't have to like what he did, but I would hope that you can appreciate the time, money and love that went in to the build. If you can't, you're not really an enthusiast, just another dumb kid with a car.-visualpoet

When is the last time the car had a tune-up? A worn out ignition system or plugged fuel filter could easily cause these symptoms.

would you say it seams like it`s out of gas? [vapor lock].. if so try to blow in the return line to the gas tank to see if it`s plugged ..also can you check your fuel presser ..if it`s plugged it will be higher than it should be..i had a role over safety valve plug up on me it`s inside the tank on the return line

Does your battery light come on??, when mine died along with the alternator i had the same systems, jerking and bucking like a motha, would get up to speed buck, buck good, then back to bucking. Just something to check into.
