i never seen in any of the write ups about this swap if which engine harness was used?? f22a1 or f22b1.... can someone clear this up for me because my car is running like CRAP!!

I am assuming that you currently have an F22A1 and are looking to replace it with an F22B1 engine.
First of all, most likely the reason there aren't write-ups is because the F22B1 is an inferior engine design (bad head flow characteristics). Very few performance communities write up how to make your car crappier.
With that being said I think the 96+ B1 is OBD2, while the 94-95 B1 is OBD1. So depending on which engine you have, you might need to convert the engine to OBD1. Also, the B1 is a VTEC engine so you'll need the ECU from the B1 or a P28 (or equivalent tuned ECU w/ VTEC enabled) to utilize the VTEC on the B1 engine.
Someone else can chime in here with more detailed info if they like. If you want some better advice, I highly recommend that you FULLY explain what you have, what you are trying to do so that people know what's going on in order to best help you. Information like:
Current engine (F22A1/4/6, year, mileage, whats wrong with it)
Replacement engine (F22B1/2, year, mileage, whats right with it)
Current/replacement transmission(s)
Reason for the swap to begin with
How far along you are with the swap, and what parts you have to perform the swap (i.e. do you have the B1 ECU?)
What "my car is running like CRAP!!" means

There are 2-3 decent writeups on the F22B1 install on this forum alone. Also, the guys on CD5tuner.com might be able to offer more assistance on this engine, as it is stock in their cars.
You are correct about the OBD1/OBD2 thing, though. If this was an OBD2 engine, and not converted to OBD1 (injectors, distributor, ECU, etc...) then that would certainly cause problems.
As said, we have to determine what "running like crap" means before we can help in any way.

I started writing my post when there were 0 replies to his, but once I saw yours I was curious why you didn't mention the head on the B1. Makes a lot more sense now.

all crap aside and pointless argument over the use of an engine in MY car.. some of you may know from my other posts that while pulling out the a1 that had burnt valves, and just had this motor laying around. from a buddies h swap. my harness got tourn too shreds on the driver side, including injector wires. now after the best re wiring i could do and with the b1 ecu it sounds like a two stroke dirt bike when reving and just shaky and well, just not right.. lol im obviously thinking my problem lyes within the wiring being screwed. but my questions come down too.. 1.. the harness being used(already answered) 2.. would order in which the injector signal fire be different considering the firing order is different? 3.. IF so<- should the correct ecu for the engine be sending the correct signal to the injectors??
thanks for your guys' help and thought, they are always of much help. if i get the answers i think im goin too get then ill just be re running the injector wiring..

He's running the B1's ECU. Not sure which variety.
Sounds like maybe one of the injectors aren't working? Have the engine running and disconnect the spark plug wires one at a time (then plug them back in) and see if one of the spark plugs being disconnected DOESN"T change the way the car sounds. Then check the wiring on that injector.
I am not certain whether Honda fuel injection is batch or sequential fire, which I think is what your last two questions revolve around.Last edited by TheFirstNutZo; 12-02-2009, 12:30 PM.
