ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    vibration while driving

my brother just recently purchased a cb with h22 installed problem is theres a vibration when acclerating when you turn left the vibration kinda goes away we've already replaced both axles and timing belt and water pump.car has coilovers on it and not exactlly level. it had homemade solid mounts in the rear and torque rod. i replaced the solid torque damper with a factory one because the whole car vibtrated like crazy. we seem to think its the motor mount on the driver side. any ideas? and its not a tire issue its coming from the drivetrain somewhere.

Solid mounts suck for vibration. I don't know 100% that that is your problem, but my VW Golf lost every bit of it's comfort when I put solid mounts on it. The only time it doesn't vibrate is when there is a torque load on the mounts.

Check to see if the transmission was tapped. Is your H22 leaning to one side?

If they just bolted everything in without tapping a new hole in the H22 transmission (assuming they used it) then things won't work properly. You'll find yourself snapping axles.

ALWAYS make sure work done on someone else's custom car is done correctly. NEVER assume that they knew what they were doing!

got alot of it fixed already but this vibration is crazy. I think the motor mount on the driver side is busted

              That could do it too.

Definitely check the tranny mount, though. That's where you need modification for the swap... and it IS possible to get everything in and running without modifying... it's just not right, and not safe.

I'm not sure what they used for the rear mount hadn't got that far yet but it is a solid mount.
