ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

New radiator fan doesn't turn on

    Hey

Ok my old fan broke into pieces...damage my radiator.

I replaced the radiator fan and radiator.

Now the fan doesn't turn on.

I turn on A/C and only condenser fan turn on. the other doesn't

I double check the connector and it is good

Could it be the relay that is broken?

Put 12V from the battery to the fan leads first to make sure the fan works, then troubleshoot from there. Turning on the A/C won't automatically fire up the cooling fan. That is controlled based on engine temp, you live in NYC so that fan may not turn on till next Spring

Turning on the AC does force both fans to run.

        yes, this is true.

You may want to see if there is a fuse for the radiator fan.

My bad, I'm completely wrong. Yeah, check the fuses first (#15 and 39 under the hood, both are 15A) , followed by the relay, fan motor, and A/C diode last. Page 16-107 in the FSM.

I was going off how EF fans are controlled from memory and posted before I checked. Sorry for the b.s. info.

oop. I just saw cooling fan fuse. 20A right above cooling fan relay.

            the fuse is good.

              Fuse and Relay is good

I switch the fuse with other 20a

and I switch relay with the power windows.

Power windows work with the cooling fan relay.

I think i got a bad fan. I'm going to jump the fan to the battery and see if it will run.

That's what I was going to suggest... give it direct power and see if it runs.

I jump it directly to the battery and it turns on!

                  What is next?

Are you sure that you have the right fuse? It should be a 15A, not a 20A. The locations are #15 and 39 in the under hood fuse box.
