Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

      It made perfect sense.

      It is about WHY VTEC is good and WHY VTEC is bad.

      You can't understand that, but you think SBC's belong in the conversation?

      They weren't completely out of the spectrum. The whole point, had you actually followed the conversation, was that for every F22 that makes a ton of power, there are a lot of variable in play that allow it to do that over a similarly built H22.

      I.E. Bisi makes a lot more power with an F22 than 2point6 does with an H22, but he is revving higher and using more technology to do it. I then explained why the F22 has a major advantage (valve lift) and why the CC is more efficient(better combustion charachteristics), which all tie into why an H22 is more streetable, and thus why VTEC is a useful technology.

      It wasn't that hard to follow honestly. I am surprised to see this comment coming from you Wes, as I would have expected to be well within your grasp based on experience. If there is anything I didn't clarify enough, let me know and I will be happy to clear it up.

                    I did nothing other than post truths about the technology. It is too bad you can't handle that.

                          Ever since I have first started this thread I have only gotten good information out of MAYBE four people. The rest has been nothing but useless bullshit. The flaming and bashing is unneeded and unnecessary.

                          Just because someone has an opinion and very good information and reasoning to back it up, does not mean he needs to be endlessly insulted for 2 pages of posts.                           This is obviously a very controversial topic and it is good that it has been brought up. The problem is, most of you do not know how to handle a debate maturely or intelligently.                               LOL! This thread has really deviated, but not necessarily a bad thing. The great walls of text that you guys post are most informative and interesting. I'm actually learning some stuff I didn't really know about.

                              Anyhow, on a personal note. To me, power is power, doesn't matter how its done. From a Vtec engine or a tuned non-vtec one... or from a highly tuned twin turbo charged sewing machine. In the end, it is all to achieve a certain level of performance regardless of engine.
                              If you are tuning and improving your engine, I don't think that having Vtec is relevant when you are making the same amount of power with a non-vtec engine.
                              Or if you that you swapped your engine for a Vtec(twin cam of course) one and you are making a lot more power than stock without the need of putting much effort as improving your old stock engine.

                              Its just a matter of preference.

                                If your going for cheap fun guys get a VTEC!

                                If your totally ignorant fine get an H23!
                                Its as close as your going to get to the perfomance of an H22 at the same cost.

                                I think though the main thing is trannys
                                An F22 with a H22 tranny is going to give the H22 a run for its money...well atleast until it hits VTEC, which is only about 2 seconds for me.
