ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    Cheap ebay headers

I am almost done with my build and was wanting to get every ones opinion about the header kits on E bay for less than a 100.00. i am broke, but need something for my car for a little while, maybe a year, until i get my parts for turbo, so don't want to spend a lot on header and down pipe. Just voice your opinion if you have bought one of these or know someone who has.

You won't gain any notable amount of power over your stock manifold (1-3hp MAYBE)

If you need a new manifold, then a cheap header does the trick... but if you're looking for an upgrade, don't waste your money. Save that $100 for your turbo setup.

i got a package deal, it was a header, downpipe, and spoon test pipe combo. got it all for like $120. worked out good, i haven't had any problems with anything yet. ebay headers arent bad, some however, have poor welds and the fitment is a little off. i would go with megan racing if you dont want to risk these problems. megan headers are even better than dc sports IMO. and they arent too expensive. alot of people like them.

Well, as far as leading the exhaust to your cat and muffler... cheap ebay headers do their job. I have them on my car... but I can't wait to get new ones when I get some money.
They are about 2inch in the collector... so they don't match my 2.25inch piping. But thy work... don't give much gains, but they are functional enough.

Oh yeah, the gaskets that come with the pipes suck!
Accord 93 LX: H23 intake mani, Ebay short ram, P12 ecu, Full exhaust. Lots of noise... and that's about it, just noise. LOL
Mazdapeed MX-5 04: Begi Intake, Forge BOV, Ebay FMIC. Whoooooooosh... Phhhff!

If you don't NEED a header, don't get one. That's $100 that could go toward your turbo, and it's a part that will be tossed in the garbage when you install the turbo.

I think that the best thing you can do, is save the money and use it for something else.. a header is not needed IMO, and the ebay one's you don't notice any HUGE differences

                  fixed lol.
The only header I think I would ever buy for an accord again would be the bisi header. But I dont think I will ever be able to afford it.

To the O.P I would just get a f22a4 header for cheap and call it good untill you go turbo.

my problem is that i need a header and i have to test my new engine and 5 speed swap to make sure it works before i think about turbo.

Just go to a junkyard near you and pick up a oem header. Rather than waiting for shipping and all that fun stuff from ebay. At least thats what I would do.

that is actually what I would do. pay the 1 or 2 bucks to get in, then pay I think like 10 for a header.. that's what my buddy did, he didn't want to wait for shipping and didn't absolutely need a cheap one

I heard that Ebay headers work but they tend to crack later down the road. Is that true fellas?

It really depends. I never had a problem with the one that I had.

imo the bigger problem with them is the quality of the gaskets.
