ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    92 f22A6 one or two o2's?

I have a 92 f22a6 engine and ecu, but not the wiring harness for that engine.
I've used the wiring harness from my 92 f22a1 engine, which uses one o2. Question is, does the a6 use one or two 02's ? from what i hear OBD1 means 1 02 and OBD2 means 2 o2's. The reason I ask is i got an intermitten code the other day 41. Does'nt that mean 2 o2 sensor? Im confused and would appriciate some help.

yes i did that. It was easier than figuring out this damn code 43! lol...
Car runs great even after this code trips. the only symptom i have is while engine is warming up from cold, if i put car in reverse from park than back to park it idles up and down till it warms up. I've looked at the stickies on hear for eacv for cleaning and done it. other than that it runs great. I have a new o2, its bosch for $50 bucks. I hear that i might have to purchase one from dealership? Anyway thatnx for ur help.

you don't have to buy one from the dealer, just look for an NTK from online dealers. at least i think it's NTK for the o2 sensors.

Just don't get a knockoff that was made to look like an NTK (or NGK... or Denso)

ALL CB7s are OBD1 (none are OBD0, and none are OBD2). All have just one o2 sensor.
And yes, that Bosch sensor will not work correctly in most cases (some people claim to have luck... most do not)

Get the proper o2 sensor. It is going to run you about $150. I've heard of people getting lucky and finding them for $80... but I'd be wary of cheap knockoffs... they DO exist. Paying another $80 for yet another part that won't work, on top of the $50 you already spent, isn't going to be a good thing.

Purchased an o2 from my local honda dealer today. Still have code 43. Just for shits and giggles I swapped ecu's and still code 43. Tomorrow im going to check map sensor ect. Thing is that my car runs great even when code is on.
                so im happy for that.

Yes, those are the brands that work properly.

That's odd that you still have the code. Most actual fuel system problems would usually result in noticeable behavior.

Yeah my o2 is good the wires I traced back, no shorts. Pretty much stumped on this one. Im gonna look in my local junkyards for an a6 wire harness. Some of my plugs on my old harness are getting beat up from all this testing. Iv,e read in some threads where it was a gasket leaking. so maybe i will purchse a gasket set for intake ect.? I took back my old o2 to schucks told them it was no good. The guy ask where the box was. I said its the o2 that has the warranty on it not the box! He was acting like i was trying to steal something!
