ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    right ECU tune?

i got a good question to all that can help me, and i hope you can....

I have a fully rebuilt F22A6 with i/h/e, I'm looking for the right ECU Tune, i believe thsats what i'm missing now, a good ecu tune so i can get my true potential out of my F22A...

by the way the ECU is p06

the only truly way to get your car running peak performance is to get it tuned specifucally for its own calibration.

can you use a tune that another f22 with the same mods have? yes, but not recomended due to that other member might have a helathier engine,
i.e better compression in each cylinder, good rings, not been beaten on, that sorta thing.

so the best idea is to get your own tune.
is the p06 chipped or are you running it as a virgin (unchipped)?

all i know is that all the parts i have is not putting out their 100% i dynoed my cb7 last week and my results cam toe 138 WHP 118 tq I'm not expecting 200....but i know i can get more than i have....

You need to have the ECU tuned for your particular car. Ask at the shop with the dyno if they have experience tuning Hondas. If so, have them do it. You can't just buy an ECU tune. That's like expecting to buy a haircut on ebay.

          hilarious. hahaha

and no you can not throw a p12 in there and get maximum potential.
the IAB's will not be controlled. since the p12 does not detect them.
it works with a f22a1 but that is all.

well i'm not really looking for a Tuned ECU for sale(I read the rules too so either way i can't mention things for sale here).....my questions really was what kind of tune would i need to get my true potential out...? basic tune?

but Drummersteve already answered my question by saying its up to me and my parts/add ons also the health of the engine....

IAB's?....I don't have them installed i removed them so its just a spacer....I read double stacking it but idk yet....

yet the P12 works only on the A1, but really? whats the difference between the A6 & A1?.....besides what i know, CamShaft, and pretty much the head? intake manifold?.....ECU?....oooohhh...I get it theres a big difference...lol the whole engine...lol

The F22A6 and F22A1 have many similarities. However, the P12 is designed to get 10hp (roughly) out of the F22A1... The F22A6 already has 15hp more. To put a P12 on the F22A6 would probably result in a loss of power. The intake manifold, exhaust manifold, and camshaft are different. The PT6 ECU is tuned to work with all those things. The P12 is not...

The IABs are there for low-end power. By removing them, you may have gained some top end, but your car overall will most likely be slower.

And I wasn't suggesting that you were looking to buy anything here... I'd simply have banned you if I thought that was the case (I'm glad you've read the rules... so few do!)

But the way you worded things is that you're "looking for the right ECU Tune"... as if you can just select a tune off a shelf and plug it into your car. Your car has to be tuned for your particular mods, on your particular engine (this is probably overkill, because it sounds like what Steve said drove this point home to you)
