ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    Injector troubles.

Hey guys, im having a few problems with my motor right now. The ecu is throwing a 16, which is injectors. I replaced them with ones that were known to be working, but its still throwing the code and not turning over...

Any ideas or helpful advice would be great... even my father the mechanic cant figure it out lol

Maybe your injector resistor box is shot?

That's what I was going to suggest. Try pulling a plug off the injector and see if you are getting any signal.

Would that be the black box attached to the intake mani?

No, that is a part of the vacuum system. You'll want the box that is connected to the injectors . It's a grey rectangular box over on the drivers side of the engine bay. It is finned for heat dissipation like a computer heat sink. Scroll about 1/3 of the way down this page to see a picture of a resistor box: http://www.honda-tech.com/showthread.php?p=40341157

Okay... went out to check the resistor box, and it was unplugged so i plugged it in, reset the ecu ( for shits and giggles) and it still wont start. Although its not throwing the code anymore.

Edit. I just went to check if the injectors were firing at all. The motor caught fire, but then i put it out after much panic

A stethoscope can be used to listen to the opening and closing of the injector as the engine operates. Good luck.

Okay, ive fixed all known problems with the engine. Vac lines hooked up right, injectors working, fuel pressure is good, timing is good, tried 2 different computers, and the fucking thing still wont start The motor turns over perfectly, but there is just no life. Maybe every 3 or 4 cranks there will be a cough or hiccup of life... but still nothing. I am at a complete loss, and im sick of driving my moms van (even though its an odyssey). Please help me!

Have you done a compression test to make sure you have compression in all cylinders?

Have you replaced your distributor cap and rotor? Igniter? Ignition coil? Are your plugs fouled?

There's still a LOT to check!

Compression check is next on my list, tried 2 disrtibutors, both known to be working, plugs are alright.

I know it's a stupid thing to ask at this point... but are your battery cables clean and tight? I've had my car crank strong but not start due to corrosion on the cables and terminals.
