ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    Will a 97-00 Prelude CAI fit CB7?

I searched and read a few threads and seen that the prelude air intakes fit but are tight. I want to make sure the air intake will fit before I order it.

    THis is the Prelude CAI.

So will this fit on our CB's? BTW I just ordered a strut bar too so it needs to clear that also.

    Thanks.

I was just going to use it as a short ram because on that little hole near the fender that was from the tubing from the stock intake box. So I just wanted to have the filter go right above that hole to get better air flow to the filter.

Plus I'm only buying it for the tube if it will fit because I already have a K&N filter but it's on my stock tube and it looks really ghey.

I think you have to relocate the battery in order to use a BB6 intake, just get a CB one

convenientness, I was just lookin at these yesterday. The best combo I could find is these.
              http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1990-...Q5fAccessories

              http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/NEW-A...Q5fAccessories

-the pipe could be SRI or CAI depending on your tastes.
*If anyone has any input over the 3"x5" filter or the 3x8 kind, chime in. I'm not sure if 38% more filter area helps or if it's just in the way of your battery/bumper.*

one thing you will want to remember, do not use the pictures on ebay as a reference, the op link states IT IS actual item so be careful when looking at pictures, and trying to figure out what will work

sorry for double post..... the last curve that would put the filter where the batt. is could be trimmed so u could get the filter right up next to the body hole

i would buy the prelude one for the fact that the pipe is bigger then the cb7 one. thats just my opinion.

So your saying it would fit if I just trimmed it a little at that last curve?

I was thinking the same thing too but I didn't want to order it and not fit.

yeah, you just want the filter end to go parallel to your battery so it'll fit

@my93cb7: I've heard of size issues w/ ours vs the prelude ones. All of em from "Racing_Guys" look the same size. Any way to tell if its mislabeled?

well a buddy of mine has a prelude cold air intake on his cb9 (wagon) and he also has it on his cd wagon. so i dont see why it wouldnt work out. u can also just use the short ram and put ur filter on it or the given one when u bought it.

I have that intake on my car and the fitment is good. really close to the strut wall and Yes you would have to relocate your battery. the filter sits right behind the headlight.
