ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.
2 of 2 < >

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

My suggestion don't get them. I purchased them back in the summer and it was the roughest ride I've every had. It was real bouncy and hard. I had to strap my sub down because every bump I hit my sub was literally jump around in my trunk. The front was stiff but hard. Plus it still left like a 2 finger gap at the lowest level. That's my experience. With them. I now have tokico blue struts with sprint springs big differnce but I want to go lower so I'm putting my bid in for the raceland coilovers. There's a thread posted in the "suspension" section. Good luck.

my experience with the skunk2 coilovers well i loved them.. since im into stiff suspension.. i had then on tokico blues so it wasnt so great but in pretty sure if i had illuminas like i do now then i would have loved them even more lol.. right now im running 10k coilovers in the front and 8k in the rear on illuminas.. but anyway i daily drive my car and love stiff suspension but its up to u.. the skunk2s are stiff.. bouncy i would say not like blown suspension where it looks like the car is bouncing like a basketball it depends on the shocks too.. and as he was saying about hin not going lower than a 2finger gap might be cause be had longer shocks but the skunk shocks i think are a a little shorter..

I think it was more the sturts then the coilovers cause h22anow has the skunk2 coikovers paired with tociko illuminas struts and he said its rides close to stock. But his drop is not real low.

In my experience it was real bouncy on the highway. At first I thought it was just me but I let 2 other member drive my car(ncoutlaw and childrey91) and they agreed. I wish you were local cause I would let you try them out before spending you money.

Check my MR thread page 7 I have pics of the skunk2 shocks and the dropped I achieved. The rear could of went much lower but I didn't have any more room to go in the front.

i have illuminas and they are great shocks.. i had 2 sets.. one was brand new.. i put the ones that were on my car onto my bros cd5 paired with ground control off the shelf rates for a civic and his ride is really comfortable yet stiff.. i would recommend illuminas or koni yellows.. or for full coilovers i also hear the type1s are good but save up some more and get type2s..
