ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

You made these two posts while the majority of this forum is at school or work... calm down. Someone will help you.

It's possible that the axles were not installed properly. There is a ring that has to snap into place, otherwise, the axle remains loose. It's possible to put everything back together with it like this. It's a common problem when the installation is done by someone that isn't aware of how it works.

Also check your ball joints, tie rod ends, and alignment. If you're lowered, you should get a camber kit to correct the negative camber, and replace those worn tires with good ones. If you're lowered on stock struts, you need to replace them. NOW.

OK! so thanks for the heads up!
I took the car back to the tranny shop!
they said they dont think it was there fault!
I told them that its a common mistake to someone who hasn't worked on hondas!
They put it on the lift,
cracked the shit out of my front lip!
and i hear some loud banging< which sounds like them trying to get it to snap into place>
They told me they never unhooked the driverside axel???
              does that sound true??
also he brang me outside to show me under the car,
and showes me the bottom of my strut, one side is bulging out, looks like it has bottomed out, and is trying to come out the bottom.
I also notice tranny fluid leaking??
i rub it with my finger right in front of him,
and hes says, oh that just needs to be tighted.
He puts a wrench on it, i get home,
              and its still leaking fluid?
              WTF
My tranny is leaking< my front lip is cracked> and my car is still jumping!

well it is not doing it as bad now!
              But definatly still messed up!
              Oh, and
They ddint fill any power stearing fluid back in it, so good thing i caught that! I filled it up with honda PSF

I took it in because 2nd gear went out on my tranny!
I baught a perfectly good tranny from a guy less than 2 miles from my house!
all i wanted was it installed!!!!!
and now ive payed money, and feel like my car is in worse shape!!!!!!
              What do i do now????
              Im frustrated as hell!

Holy crap that's hard to read.

They should never have had to drain the ps fluid to change an axle. If you're leaking fluid, then that's unrelated. If they DID drain it, find out why.

If you have a blown strut, that will DEFINITELY cause jumping. Replace it ASAP, before you crash. That's not something to take lightly.

If they cracked your lip, I would demand that they pay to replace it.

                  Update

Problem fixed! and lesson was learned!

I took my car to my "HOnda Specialist" at Gt IMports!
Tunrs out< the axel that was put in, was too big, By 3 1/4"!!!!
                  NIce!
I ended up spending almost 300 to get it fixed right!
                  BUt its fixed right!
                  So I have learned,
"Never take your car to get work done by someone who doesnt know Hondas!"
Thanks for all the soulustions that were posted!
Im still gonna get 2 new tires on the front,

Did you supply the oversized axle? Is this the one that you just had put in by the other shop? Or was it one that was on the car previously?

If the first shop is responsible... take the bill from the new repair back to the first shop. Have them reimburse you for both the cost of the new repair, AND what you paid them... or threaten to sue (and seriously consider doing so). They not only charged you for a TOTALLY imroper repair, but they also put you at serious risk by installing incorrect parts! Even upon a second inspection, they said it was fine!

They put you at risk, potentially damaged your car, and made you PAY for that "service". They should be put out of business if that's what they do. We don't need dangerously "fixed" cars on the road.
