ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    bump stops on front

i'm in the process of lowering my car and right now i've got all of struts/springs on except the front right. well on my front left it seems to be sitting decently higher than the rear. almost looks like it's maybe resting on the bumpstop? should i maybe trim it down about a half inch or so?

my setup is -1.8" front and -1.6" rear (RS*R Down springs for 94-97 accord) with Koni STR.T struts

edit: been about a week with all the suspension on and this is how it's currently sitting

still seems a little high, like it's resting on the bumpstops like i said earlier in the post

the str.t's are great so far. a little stiffer than stock but still great for a daily driver. they seem to be handling my drop pretty well so far.

and yes, i was talking about cutting the bumpstops lol i would never cut my springs, i ain't dat stoooooopid. it almost seems like they may be resting on them but i'll give it a few more days to see if my springs settle a bit

you can at least cut them in half and have no problems.

Well there is more weight in the front that has too be supported then the back. So it doesn't sound all that abnormal for the front being higher than the back especially if you don't even have the car sitting on the ground fully installed and then see how it looks. Then you should be able to make a better decision and troubleshoot from there. The only cutting I have ever done on a suspect. Was a lil grinding just to make my 17's clear the shock retainer, ...remember that bump stop is there for a reason you might as well flush the money you spent away , if you end up ruining one of them b/c idk something drastic I can vouche for that :P be easy and drive safe dude

Srry kinda quick gibberish but you get the idea I'm on a iPhone these things are awesome there really not kidding when they say it is the best smart phone on the market.

trim the bump stop so you have some play with the strut. i remembered when i was running on bumpstops my ride felt like shit. i cut 3/4ths of it and it was all good. even if you remove it and still riding like shit, you should just invest in full coilovers when you can adjust the height through the shock body.

                        The rear is low

What it could be is this... 90-97 Accord suspensions are pretty much the same, but 94-95s have a slightly different front setup that makes their front springs longer than 90-93 and 96-97s. I had the same issue with my Tanabe DF210s which were made for 94-97s.

Still, the rear is low as fuck!!! Def lower than -1.6". I am pumped to get these shocks.

nah, i think the rear is about right. this is -1.5" in the rear and -1.75" in the front. my springs are almost the same but his seems to be much lower in the front..

That's fucking low then, shit. I don't even think my car is that low in the rear. Def. lower in the front though.

it's really not bad at all, daily driving wise. i've had zero problems. except for steep driveways of course. but my exhaust scraped on those with my stock suspension anyways haha
