ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Is your trans shifting weird? or not at all? or just into 2 gears?

Blinking D4 light means there is a problem with the trans.

i'd recommend you try an other TCU and see if it's still doing the same thing.
            how's the tranny shifting?

It's an indication of an error code. Read the "sticky" threads to learn how to pull the code, or take it to a shop or autoparts store and they'll pull it for you. It might be something simple... or it might be something fairly complicated. Until you pull the code, nobody knows.

It would make more sense to see what the code is saying before he begins replacing parts aimlessly. Diagnose the problem, then fix it. Fixing a problem is difficult when you don't know what the problem is!

i should have made myself clear (try an other TCU) did not mean to buy an other one,see if he can find someone with an auto tranny who will be willing to let him try the TCU

i believe a blinking d4 indicator can mean a bad VSS (vehicle speed sensor)... but as deev mentioned, your next step is going to find out what the code means.

dude I just realized that you are in Raleigh... that's whats up.. go to the Advance Auto on Durant rd or Wakeforest rd by the beltline... they're always most helpful.

TCU related issue... I agree with pulling the codes and figuring out what they mean. Also, what year is your car? I vaguely remember something about 90-91's with the sport button having this same exact issue. It's usually related with sportmode itself.

I can't verify because I have a 93 SE and the light behind D4 on mine simply doesn't come on anymore Pretty sure the bulb just went out, but I'm not going to pull the whole dash apart to replace one bulb...
