ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    PT6 Performance

Hey guys, i searched and couldnt find anything. What kind of performance increase can i expect if i put a PT6 ecu in my 93 lx with F22A1?

Without the F22A6 intake manifold and camshaft, you may end up losing power.

If you want to put a new stock ECU in your car to run your F22A1, look for a P12 from a Prelude.

If you introduce an IAB system, then the PT6 is the proper ECU to control it.

I have been running the PT3 with my H23 intake manifold. I tried out the PT6 and it didn't give me a noticeable gain

The gain with the ECU is minimal. The most useful part of the PT6 is that it has the proper controls for the IAB, rather than simply running on vacuum.

A chipped and properly tuned P06 would be the best option, especially as your mods get more serious. I'm not sure if the P06 has IAB control, but it can be added if necessary.

                Intake Air Bypass.

Dual runners in the intake manifold. Basically, at a certain RPM, a second set of intake tubes open up in the intake manifold to allow for more airflow into the engine.

Sorry to post on this old thread. I have a pt6 and was going to put it on, I have an h23 intake manifold that I'm planning to put on in the future should I just wait to put the ecu after the Intake manifold is on? Also I'm planning on hooking up the IAB when the manifold is on.

Yes, I would wait. Did you grab the A6 cam as well?

Any IAB-equipped intake manifold should be used with a PT6

I'm still curious to see if the tuning of the P14 would possibly be beneficial to an F22A after a certain level of modification. We may never know.

i switched from pt3 to pt6 with an a6 head swap and h series intake tb, plenum, intake manifold. I only noticed i can top out at 7000rpms. My 93ex never did that.

Umm yes and no. My friend has an a6 head that he wants to sell me but don't have the $$$ for it right now, but its in my future plans.

You don't need the entire head. The castings are the same.

Yeah, you don't really need the head, just the cam.
