ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

You can do it when you install and programm a modified ECU. I have it done in my CB7, with the P28 that runs my H22. It's so small that it really isn't all that useful, though. You can get a real shift light without having to get a whole tach. I've known people to mount them in a vent. Kinda cool.

Within most ECU tuning programs, you can set the CEL shift light. That's the easy part. Tuning the ECU takes quite a bit of knowledge, and you have to be able to do that as well.

You won't learn it in school, I'm sure.

Check out the ECU Tuning subforum in the Performance section. It's not all that hard... just a lot to learn.

All that is covered in the ECU Tuning section.

Look into Uberdata and Crome. They are the most common, and there are free versions of both. Mine was tuned with Uberdata. One of the guys that runs the tuning shop down the street from me actually helped write part of Crome.

First you should figure out what ECU you want to chip. Now then find a company that sells the customizable chips and when your looking for the one you might want make sure they have their own site to download all the GOODIES.
This should help, it's really not that hard of a project, and the performance gain from a chipped ECU is good and it will automatically set you up for future mods. GL. ~!PEACE!~.

Ummm... no. Not at all. Perhaps you should also take a look at the section that I suggested. I DID create that section for a reason... you know, so people can learn about these things, and not spread misinformation? Yeah.
