ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    ecu question

    Aloha CB7 tuners,
just finished a f22a build, its got a a6 motor w/ a4 trans. just wondering what is the best ecu to use for this setup. keep the a4 ecu, change to the a6 one or just get a p12 from a prelude? everythings pretty much stock.

I'm not too sure, but I'd keep the A4 ecu (should be the same as the A6). To open the secondary runners in the A6 intake manifold, get an IAB black box from any A6-equipped accord.

Since you have an a6, you want the pt6 ecu to control the butterfly's via the "black box", it also is tuned better to match the different intake and more aggressive camshaft compared to the a1/a4 camshaft and intake manifold.

Build? How is it a build if it's a stock motor? Use the PT6 from the F22A6, as it is programmed properly for the F22A6 intake manifold with IAB, F22A6 cam, F22A6 exhaust manifold, etc... The P12 and PT3 are made for the F22A1 (and F22A4, which is identical to the F22A1 in all ways except the exhaust manifold)

Absolutely wrong. Please stop spreading misinformation. The F22A4 is run by the same ECU as the F22A1. The PT3. The F22A6 is the only US model F22A with a different ECU, due to the camshaft and intake manifold.

You're banned for a week for attempting to sell something in this section.

The transmission is controlled by the TCU.
