I just picked up another CB7, 92 Accord exr coupe 187k, original owner. They had the oil changed at the dealer and the numb nuts stripped the oil pan drain. Im looking at picking up a used one. I found a guy selling a whole f22a4 motor for 40 bucks but mine is an f22a6. Are they interchangeable?

ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!
Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956
Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)
Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.
These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.
1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.
2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.
3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.
4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.
The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.
The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Take your car to a shop that does welding, like an auto body repair shop that also does mechanical work.
have them weld a 12mm internal diameter nut over the drain hole onto the outside of the pan while it is still on the car.
Put an m12 bolt in there. (thread the bolt over the nut, then put the assembled nut and bolt right in the pan and tighten it, then weld the nut *only* onto the car so the threads of the nut and the stripped drain hole are aligned correctly.)
It will never strip again, ever. And this will only cost you like $30-$50 for the whole job, and you don't need to drop the pan.
Alternately, buy a $25 Fram Sur-Drain center drain, and install it into the existing oil pan using liquid thread sealant. since the sure-drain (center drain) doesn't have to be removed to drain the oil, the seal will last a long long time (I had the same problem, and I installed a sure-drain using only teflon tape and it lasted me 4 years. I recently redid it with permatex liquid sealant and probably it will last longer than that)Last edited by batever; 10-05-2009, 08:37 PM.

The JDM H22's still come with stamped steel oil pans.
The aluminium pans are no weak, they will just crack rather than dent as the stamped steel ones would.
