ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    Which o2 sensor??

i did a quick search but couldnt find anything.
im about to leave work and i want to swap my o2 sensor out tonight.

but which one do i use for a JDM h22a??
    accord or 92-96 prelude?

is there any difference between the two aside from wire length?

    Bought from: Bisimoto, FuncOvrForm, HondaGuy1212, wed3k, Konigstiger, 1st2run, BillKisme, k-mart, benjerman112

      nevermind.
      research pwns me.

      either will work.
wire length does seem to be the only difference according to the bosch catalog.

the accord one is cheaper. thats the one i'm using....

the one of the accord is longer than the one for the prelude.

the accord will work for sure.

but i cant figure out why the prelude unit is so much more $$$.
if they read the same then why charge more for shorter wires?

oh well. its the parts business, no rhyme or reason to any of our pricing...

Bosch? Don't use Bosch, unless you know how to modify it to work. They don't work correctly out of the box. You'll be throwing your money away.

            NGK or NTK.

I've seen Bosch O2 sensors cause cars to fail CA smog. Especially H22s!

In our cars, Bosch o2 sensors often fail within 2-3 months. There is something that isn't right with the wiring.

I have to figure out where it is... a member actually found the instructions on the Bosch website on how to modify the sensor.

unfortunately NAPA only sells Bosch O2 sensors.
i'll have to see if i have a source on ngk/denso....

I spent 20 minutes searching for the post today, and I can't find it! It's in this section somewhere, but I can't figure out where it went. I can even search deleted posts!

In order to make the Bosch sensors work correctly, you have to do some soldering. I always told people that they didn't work at all, but I was corrected by a new member a few months ago, and he linked to the Bosch site where they show you how to fix the sensor so it will work properly. I know I've seen it... I just can't figure out where it went!

But yeah, NGK/NTK or Denso will work straight out of the box. I found a few amusing posts that showed members being surprised at "mysteriously" finding an NGK sensor already in their car... I guess they didn't realize that's what Honda used from the factory!
