ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    Ideas for Horn

Installed new steering wheel and it has a center button horn. And a wire that connect to a metal contact plate on the back end of the steering Hub. I got the blue horn wire and touched it to the black plate, and it works...first problem getting the wire to connect to the center button without the wire having to wrap around the steering colunm, when turning.
secondly, I did think about rerouting the horn wire to the open slot next to the cruise control for a horn button, but I'm im sticking with the center button So has anyone came to this problem installing new racing steering wheel,
btw the look and accent that this steering wheel is awesome came with two diff. center button all for 35$ +hub and free shipping great buy and deal, will see how durable it is in a couple months but right now it feels pretty tight

Yep I had the same problem. For a while I had a wire wrapped around the back of the steering hub, but when I took the wheel off to get my auto cancel turn signal working again the wire would snap each time I turned the wheel.

I had to hook the auto cancel up because sometimes when the music is up during the day I couldn't hear the tick of the signals. and since the wheel sat lower, I cant see the indicators. There is nothing more annoying then being behind someone who has left there signal on.

What I did was use the hole that was drilled in my upper steering column ( for an alarm LED, I moved it.) and put a small momentary switch in it.

I would have liked to have the center button working, but in my opinion it wasn't worth the risk of my horn possibly not working when I needed it. Also I have my auto cancel signals so I won't accidentally have my signal on while driving.

Realistically you can put the horn switch anywhere. Just run the wire for the horn into a switch and run the other side to a ground.

    Good luck!
