I'm lokking to swap my f22a1 motor to the f22b1, I know that motor drops right in with no mods besides the ecu and harness. The only questions I have are what main vacum lines do I need and do the headers fit onn both of these motors?

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956
Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)
Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.
These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.
1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.
2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.
3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.
4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.
The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.
The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Why would you want to swap an f22b1? the f22a flows way much better than f22b especially the head on of the f22a, IMHO the f22b are shit, might as well go h22, h23 or f20a vtec if you want power and daily driving, or build your f22a instead. i recommend you do the h22, h23, f20a vtec or keep you f22a and build it instead of the f22b. good luck

So. you can make that much by just building your f22a. f22b flow like shit. You would make at least 20-30 horse power to the wheels with : h23 intake manifold, cold air intake, headers(especilly the bisi headers, and a good cat back and a NEO synt oil and a p12 ECU from the prelude with you f22a. and if you want more out of you f22a put in some WEB racing cams like it did, that thing would push at lease 35+ to the wheels. f22b's dont have that much potentiol there only made for accord so they wont waste that much fuel. f22a all the way bro. please do not go with f22b. if you f22a is healthy then bulid it, f22a has more power and potentiol than f22b. i know what im telling you.Last edited by pedroalcala; 09-30-2009, 11:08 PM.

IF your want a slightly more powerful and torquier engine, just install a stage 2 bisimoto cam on your F22a engine. That's what I'm planning to do, aside from a rebuild and a junkyard turbo setup when I get the money.Accord 93 LX: H23 intake mani, Ebay short ram, P12 ecu, Full exhaust. Lots of noise... and that's about it, just noise. LOL
Mazdapeed MX-5 04: Begi Intake, Forge BOV, Ebay FMIC. Whoooooooosh... Phhhff!

F22B1 for performance.
It's a reliable, efficient engine... but it's trash when it comes to performance. The install difficulty is about equal to that of an H22, but the performance gains are negligable. As for performance potential when you modify it, it falls considerably short of the F22A.
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=138663
There's a walk-through if you want it.
As for the header, no. The F22B1 exhaust ports are different. You cannot use the F22A header on there. Same goes for the intake manifold (which means you can't use the H23 intake manifold upgrade as you can on the F22A)
Do this:
Get an H23 intake manifold
Get the PT6 ECU from an F22A6
Get a cam regrind from Delta... 272 or 260, depending on how wild you want it.
Those three things will cost you roughly $250... less, if you can shop smart. Those three things will result in more power than the F22B1, while retaining the considerable upgrade potential of your F22A.
If you want to beat a DOHC with your SOHC... DEFINITELY stick with the F22A.
Check into products from Bisimoto. Especially the header (which is on sale right now, as long as we can get people involved in a group buy...) that makes 27whp on an otherwise STOCK F22A (that one part would make more power than your headswap). The Bisimoto camshafts are also amazing, as Bisi himself uses the F22A to race his pro-drag Insight (which runs low-9 second quarter mile passes, and holds numerous world records)
