ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

I did a voltage test on the battery and compared it to another battery in a working car. Both said 12.3 Volts.

I had the same exact problem, had to crank a little longer and it felt like it was missfiring (stumbling) at startup.I changed the PGM-FI main relay and it got better.
      I know....I'm gunna lower it

        mine does the same thing.

it fires up but immediately almost goes to 750 rpms and then slowly comes back up to 1500.

That's EXACTLY what it does. Any ideas on a fix or anything??

I thought the main relay issue was related to more of a hot start issue>?

I'm a nissan certified tech,I would know.the main relay controls the fuel injectors. It's missfiring at start up because the injectors aren't sparying right

So even if I hear the relay click on, then off when I turn the key to "II" that doesn't necessarily mean it's working properly? If that's the case, why only on cold starts and not hot, or warm, or halfway cold?

I'm heading to the JY this weekend, maybe I'll grab an extra one for fun.

Check the TPS(Trottle Position Sensor) or Idle Control Valve their is no adjustment on it but sometimes they get a lot of Carbon in it,if you take it off try to clean it or just replace it. GOOD LUCK !!!!!!!!

Battery got tested today and it's good! I also swapped batteries with a known good one, and the same cold start issue occurs.

I REcleaned the IAC (tested IAC and it's good) and FITV.

I doubt TPS b/c that would throw a code and car would run shitty during anytime.

My other options are main relay...OR would a belt that's too loose cause this?

I noticed after I replaced the belts they would slip a bit on cold starts, and while slipping the car wouldn't raise to high idle until the belts caught. Should I tighten them up a bit since they may have stretched a bit after replacement?

after you cleaned the IAC it was still hard starting ?,because cleaning that could help because it can build up carbon deposits over time.

i think your having the same problem that i had with my car if your car starts like putting and struggling to idle for a few sec when your turning the ignition its your fuel injection relay
