I need some help, I've been searching the whole website and can't find specific answers. I don't know if I'm searching the wrong part or what. But my question is do you need to install forged pistons when installing a turbo on the stock f22a block? I don't really know for sure what I want to do with my car as of now, I kinda want to turbo it, but dont want to deal with killing my engine by not installing forged pistons. Anyone know the safe amount of boost.

ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!
Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956
Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)
Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.
These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.
1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.
2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.
3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.
4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.
The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.
The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

but first you need to know:
your power goal.
your budget.
and how reliable you want it to be .

but it all depends on the amount of boost you run I suppose. I don't boost though...just quoting what's been said.
So yes stock pistons are OK
Op, You don't NEED forged pistons, However they will help when you decide to up the HP goals later down the track.

You can boost a moderate amount on stock internals. The health of the engine will determine how long it lasts. Generally, turbo causes an engine to wear out faster. It's just more abuse than the engine is designed for (it's still more forgiving than revving it to the moon, though).
When you reach a certain level, you're going to want stronger pistons and rods, and possibly stronger sleeves. It gets expensive when you open up the engine... but that's the price you pay for power and reliability.

My goal for the car is to have a very reliable honda accord that will last for a while while still has a lot of power. I expect it, hope it will last atleast a year on stock internals at low boost. I repeat low boost like 7-10psi MAX don't want to push it much more than that. I really just want a fast car. In other word I would be happy with a fast all motor car aswell just all depends on my budget at the time.

thats the weird part. "I just want a fast car"
you will always think your car is slow, especially when someone else flies by you. so here is the route I went.
boosted my stock f22 on a dsm kit just to learn more about turbos and the components associated with it. helped me get to know what I needed. now I got a boosted h23 dsm kit and lovin it. next will be a full build. is nice to learn what I have on engines I knew were gunna be toasted.
the f22 actually lasted quite some time until my addiction kicked in.
reliable at 10psi. But I wanted to know what 16 could do.
and I found out for 3 days! soooo its your call my friend!
biggest helping factor in my boost addiction was a backup car. much needed IMO!
