ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!
Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956
Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)
Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.
These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.
1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.
2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.
3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.
4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.
The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.
The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

I've never seen a V6 in a CB7. It's been planned out quite extensively by members here, and there are a few projects that are supposedly about to begin... but I don't know of anyone, at least not any of the members here (which are most likely the majority of the serious cb7 tuners in the world, at least those that bother with internet forums)
It's doable... but it will require a LOT of work. The J series V6s have lots of potential, though... so it's well worth the effort if you have the money and ability to do it.

What do you mean? The engine from the CL? Or swapping a bigger J series into a CL?
You COULD use the V6 from a Legend or 5th gen Accord, though that isn't much of an upgrade.
J32s are fairly inexpensive. That would be the engine you'd want to go with, as they make nice power, and respond well to mods. Finding a manual transmisison to mate to one would be the hardest part. They aren't common, nor are they cheap.

I know that Arizona Performance Imports did a J35 swap in a Civic using Hasport mounts. If a J can be swapped into a Civic, it can work with a CB7 too. The thing I think would be a main issue is the height clearance. The hood might have to have a scoop put on it so the engine has a little extra room to clear the hood.
Edit* Here is the video for those who didn't see it:
I really wish I had the time to do a J swap in my CB7. Having 260 HP and not having to do any motor work would not only make the car quick, but the motor would be more reliable because you didn't have to put work into the motor to get the HP that high.Last edited by AbsurdNY; 09-16-2009, 12:35 PM.
