ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    Oil leak Issue

Whats up everyone? NooB here to cb7tuner but not to the honda community or the forum community im real big on CarolinaHondas.com. I have a problem with my cb7 though. I have a H22a4 swapped in and am having an oil leak issue. It seems to be coming from the back of the motor and only leaks for about 20 mins after i turn the car off. I have replaced the cam seal and its still leaking. Getting tired of parking in the yard! Its not just one spot either it seems to be running down the tranny and dropping in multiple places. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Alittle confused @ the back of the motor yet runs down the tranny? Which "cam seal" was replaced? The camshaft seals on the t/b side, or the infamous P30 cam seal/plug on the dizzy side? Check out both dizzy seals, both internal and external, v/c gasket, vtec solenoid. Any oil coming out of the lower timing cover? Do you have an oil cooler? How's the oil pan gasket look, and lastly, any oil coming from the flywheel access cover plate?

I replaced the cam seal on the TB side. Its coming down the back of the motor and dripping off the tranny where it mates to the block from what i can tell. Its not coming from the oil pan. i need to look into the flywheel access cover havnt checked that yet.

If it's coming from where the tranny mates to the block, the rear main seal is VERY likely. It's also one that is known to fail. If it fails completely, your motor will be destroyed. It's a very large seal, and failure will cause instant oil starvation.

The transmission must come off to replace it. I decided not to replace mine when I last did my clutch... I'm probably going to regret it (not leaking... but it's probably 1994 original)
