ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    What to do....

I'm feeling a little lost as it is...... For starters my car is up and down, Today I replaced a drive shaft (passenger side) and I was also supposed to replaces a rad hose, but my mechanic was like its a bitch and I'm better off swapping my engine which has me pondering my next move... Already I've spent so much on my car and im not sure when my expense will be done leaving me with the car I had envisioned myself having. After all the money I've put towards my car I'm only still at a stock stance....The most ive really achieved is getting new wires(accel) , strut bar (f/r) and an intake (reative) I had planed to do over my suspension and get my body work done, but I'm not sure any more I'm quite confused as to what should be done at this point. I'm contemplating a new car, but either way i know im going to want to do mods to that as well, so I'm not sure..

**Sorry if this seems to be all over the place, I wrote my thoughts as they came to mind. I hope this makes sense**

First off, swapping either radiator hose isn't a problem at all. Why did your mechanic say it'd be easier to swap an engine? sorry, but that's just retarded. If he thinks its easier to swap an engine than a radiator hose, he doesn't need to be in that line of work. I think he's just trying to soak you for a ton of money

Its not the uppper or lower rad hose though.. which ever one it is its was said its hard to get to. As for the swap ,my intention was to get one done when my f22 was ready to conk out.

All of the radiator hoses are fairly easy to get too..

        Your mechanic is retarted.

get a new mechanic. I think your mechanic is money hungry.
                or do your own work

lower rad hose is a bitch. Damn Crossmember is in the way

Some things I do myself, but not all. I guess some people feel japs require a swap, but I feel if the engine is good run it untill its done.

Go get a manual for your car from your local auto parts store. With that and a basic tool set you can do most everything yourself. It's not as hard as some people make it out to be.

that's how i felt when i joined this site, and now i wouldn't dare let someone else work on it. everyone on here helps a ton and there's more info than a car manual IMO

i agree, run it till you can afford or need to swap it.
