ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

best springs w/ 1.5" drop or less

my coil springs seem to have cracked, so i figured i might as well replace the struts/springs together. the struts are now creaking and blown out, who knows how long the previous owner drove it like that. i know it wont pass inspection so its suspension time! ive decided on kyb gr2s for the struts, any1 have a good place to buy these from for ~$180 shipped?

springs are the real question @ hand. what makes my descision tuff, is price point. im really not trying to sink that much money in2 this car but the modding addict in me cant help it. im on an extreme budget so ive been combing ebay. any1 have any opinion on the kcr springs?

they seemed cheap enough, and i understand they wont ride like a dream but accomplish what im looking for. no creaking/clunking and a little more appealing stance. this car is low enough as is, i just dont see the point in putting OE replacements in for the same money... trying to keep the springs down to $150 tops, but i cant see the GODAMN FS FORUMS CUS IM A NEWB!

who has cheap springs? sell em to me, PM me!

I would say the pro-kit or the Tein's, or neuspeed sport springs. I have never heard anything good about dropzone springs, the one's I have listed all are good. Check out the suspension sticky. Well I'm feeling nice so here read this and it will/should answer some questions you might have. http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=470

Is dropzone really that bad? I've known of them for quite some time and heard they were pretty good and saw that they're reasonably priced but I haven't really heard much talk about them on this site. Why is that?

Please remove your request to buy springs, or you will be banned.

Eibach Sportline springs are a very subtle drop. They would be a good choice. I wouldn't risk buying some no-name junk on ebay (such as the springs you mentioned... I've never heard of that brand in my life)

And yes, Dropzone is TERRIBLE. I nearly lost my life due to their garbage products. If I could have my way, I'd put them out of business.

My friend had a set of Dropzone springs which had a nice drop, but sagged after a few years.

Personally, I love the ride of Eibach Pro-kit, but the drop doesn't look that great.

I currently have H&R sports and they ride well and has a nice stance to it too!

H&R Sports were my favorite stance. I have H&R Race now, and I miss my Sports.

i know to skimp now will bite me in the butt, however all those springs mentioned (unless used) are outta the budget, <150 tops! the megans also look pretty nice, the drop is a little more aggressive, but i might be able to deal w/ it.. oh well back to cruising ebay, LOL!

need to stick to the budget, i need new 245/40/18s dunlop z1s for the subie

Sell some sperm for an additional $50 and get some quality springs.

That, or find some used quality springs. I'd rather ride on used H&R, Eibach, Neuspeed, or Tein springs than risk brand new no-name garbage.
