ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    Quick ECU question

Ok, I have a 90 LX 5 speed. I want to know if the ECU (PT6) from a EX F22A6 Auto wagon will work in my LX?

Will it matter that the ECU is from an auto?

    Thanks, Chad.

      It won't matter.

The PT6 won't help you unless you have the F22A6 intake manifold, though. Most F22A1s run worse on a PT6.

Even if I have the header and full 2.25 exhaust and intake? I was gonna pull one when I was at the PnP today (Everything is 50% off) but didnt. What all do I need, could come one circle it in a pic?

This is an H22 but it's the same concept. You'll need the stuff in the square lol. You need the whole IM assembly off of an A6. It has a spacer in between the runners and plenum that has butterfly valves in it. It's a daul runner design so those valves stay closed until you get to higher rpms when more air is needed and then they will open. The pt6 will control that. There's a black box underneath the runners that you will also need but it is already bolted to them so just pull everything out in one piece. Hopefully this helped. I don't think I explained it all that great.

The PT6 is set up to work with the F22A6's IAB system (dual runner intake manifold), as well as the F22A6 camshaft.

I was taking one off at the junk yard and left some tools in my car. I walked out to my car and on the way back I noticed an A6 with the head taken off and the IM just laying there lol. I felt like an ass. You can do it all from the top of the engine though. That's how I was doing it anyways. There may be an easier way but that was my first time.

i just pulled one this weekend get the cam and intake mani the mani is best pulled from the top then get the bottom bolts from underneath cuz there is a bracket that goes from the itm to the block 12mm bolts in that and make sure you get the black box bolted to the bottom side opposite the TB that controls the IAB set up good gain on Lx/Dx a6 runners with the H23 pleneum would be best tho
