Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    throttle body spacer?

    do throttle body spacers work or is it a waist of money?

    I don't see how there would be big gains as the TB isn't connected to anything hot/warm. I mean it wouldn't HURT but more gains are had by intake runners to head spacers (intake manifold gasket spacer) as the head DOES get hot.

    There have been 5hp gains when using the blacktrax spacer (plenum to runners, it is plastic not metal). But I don't think they had an intake manifold gasket spacer like what bisi sales.

    I guess plastic/teflon spacer if thick enough at the TB, plenum to runners, and runners to head could all add up...but I dunno how much total...5hp up to? just my musings

      I don't know about a waist, but it would be a waste of money. They do nothing for us. A plenum spacer, on the other hand, will.

          The plenum is the "tank" at the top of your intake manifold. The part that the throttle body is attached to. If you put a spacer between that and the lower part, you can gain power. Check out spacers by Blacktrax. http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=83042

            i bought an a6 spacer and gutted it... i think the holes are kinda cone shaped. imma take it to work so i can precisely measure it and hopefully port and polish it

              Cool...I knew the plenum spacer by blacktrax had gains...didn't think the tb would for reasons as stated

                Yeah, the Blacktrax spacer is better because it's a thermal plastic, and it doesn't have holes in it that create turbulence. A gutted IAB plate works to some extent, but the Blacktrax piece is better.
