ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Personal preference. Coilovers give you adjustability. There is a lot of good suspension reviews on here. Read around for a bit before you make your decision.

i would say springs are more for comfort and coilovers are more for track and being slammed. depends what you want.

If you're wanting to "slam" it, you'll obviously want coilovers.

I'm willing to bet a Ground control/Koni yellow setup would outperform just about any coilover available for the cb7, provided the shocks are properly valved and the ground controls have suitable spring rates.
There are no black and white suspension answers!!!!!!!!!!!

if you are talking about functionality then coilovers...as they are designed for functionality

if you just want to slam your ride...lowering springs.

Sure there are some ok ones...but they are lowering springs and they are not meant to give you the "raceable" ride that coilovers are generally designed for.

                          lowering springs = looks
                          coilovers = function

NOW...there ARE "coilover" knockoffs...and some really cheap ass coilovers...but in general, true coilovers will give you much more performance capabilities than lowering springs. Plus...their shocks are designed around the height alterations...lowersprings...not so.

For FULLY adjustable coilovers don't expect to spend less than a grand, more likely over $1500. Or you can get neuspeeds super cup kit which has only 3 height adjustments, but is a very good suspension setup for around 600. But FULLY adjustable...VERY pricey.

I'm sure the OP means cheap springs or cheap sleeves. In which case, neither.

                            Get yourself quality components.

Ah, what's the use... this kid is clearly too lazy to bother following anything I have to say. He won't even read my usual rant, because it's more than 3 sentences long and uses big words. Good luck kid. I'm not saving this one.
