ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

The Easy-Out shouldn't remove any metal from the remains of the spark plug, but should dig into it. If you're concerned about the possibility of something being shaved off and falling in, then put the piston at TDC and push / thread a wad of greased up rag into the orifice of the offending spark plug tube to catch any bits.

estimate the internal diameter of that missing threaded sleeve, and see if there is an extractor large enough to work with it. It looks like the largest one in the set there is a number 5 screw extractor that goes with a 1/4 inch bore hole, which is 6.35 mm. I think that sounds a little small but it might work as they get wider as you turn them counterclockwise into the bore hole.

If you go to the regular hardware store, they sell screw extractors as single tools and I think you'll be able to find a larger one than a #5. I'm guessing either the #5 or the #6 screw extractor will work but without measuring the spark plug it's hard to tell.

Dont' forget you're gonna need a long drill chuck extension or ez out handle to put that extractor on, because you need to reach down like 7 inches to the spark plug threads. If you take the valve cover off first it will be easier to access it though.

If you do take off the valve cover, try using The Right Stuff by permatex instead of a new gasket when you seal it up again. It has been working great for me and only costs like $10 for the can, which will do your valve cover maybe 8 times, instead of a gasket which only lasts a couple of times and costs $20.
