ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

    h22 automatic swap issues..

I just finished my wifes h22 automatic swap in her 91 accord. The engine runs awesome just like I figured it would. I have done lots of h22 accord swaps so I am no rookie but this is my 1st auto. Im using the stock accord tcu and didnt do any wiring on the motor. So far it shifts hard and when I take a corner it slips as if all 4 gears are gone. I figured it was the fluid level but it checked out ok. If I let the car sit for about 30 seconds then start it up it will drive thru all 4 gears. Im holding off for the p19 until I can find one in my budget. Im wondering if thats why it shifts hard. I threw in the jumper wire to check for tranny codes but didnt get any. I got a code 36 on the check engine light which makes no sense. I cant find that code in the helms manual for either car. Im running the p13 auto ecu. I just need to make this car reliable for my wife so she can get back and forth to work.

Hey man, I was told you pretty much need the automatic ECU for the H22 engine. I'm a total novice, but I created a thread and that is what a few people mentioned. It would seem like that would be your problem.

I already have the auto p13 h22 ecu. It is supposed to be mated to either a P0N or a P19 tcu. I dont think that is what would cause it to not work though.

I have a h22 auto. But I never swapped out the TCU for the accord one. It just really sounds like the f22 tcu is not liking the h22 trans configuration..

            EDIT

code 36 is the Traction control on the jdm p13 ecus. there is no way of getting rid of that unless you get a regular jdm p13 that doesnt have the 4th plug hole.

yeah I had the same issue w/ my H22 Auto swap back in Nov'. I used the P13 that came with it and it had 4 plugs. In japan, they've got a 4WS 4 wheel steering option and thats what that 4th plug is for. It'll throw that code no matter what unless you have that 4WS system hooked up to it.

I ended up buying another P13 and chipping it. Problem solved.

I think its a silent code or whatever so I will still pass emissions. Thats the last thing I need right now is to have to find another damn ecu also to not have a check engine light.

Im thinking about throwing in that f22 auto that used to be in the car. Is it going to hold up? I think the MP0A is just a regular accord tranny so I think the mxpa or whatever the oem one for the 91 ex accord is should hold up. I know it works.

well the MPOA and MP1A were the JDM Auto trannies for the H22. The 1A supposedly had LSD in it but my 0A has it in there so idk whats up. The F22 trans will do for awhile, but if you try to pair it up with that P19 TCM I'm sure that won't be good for it, since its rated for an engine with less power.

I dont have the p19 yet. I think Im gonna just throw in this accord tranny for now and run the stock tcu. It will atleast get the car down the road for now. I can shift it manually though right without hurting it? or do you think the rpms/power are too much for that tranny? Im not a real aggressive driver though.

it might not be that good for the shift solenoids to do it manually, but it can be done. It'll prob. have some future harm, but for now, or temporarily, should be fine.

I couldnt find it. What did you type in when you searched? I checked for prelude tcu or p19 tcu.

There are a couple for $40 plus shipping around but they are P0N and I want the p19.
