Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

bad Front End Vibration!!!!

    bad Front End Vibration!!!!

    I have a 92 lx and when i accelerate the front end vibrates really bad. Does anyone know why it could be doing this.

    Only under acceleration? Check inner and outer tie rods, the axles, and if you have all the lug nuts on nice and snug...

      Yeah its only when I accelerate. I just changed the right front axle but it didn't do it after that till now. What am I suppose to be looking for on the Tie rods.

        If its the outers, you can basically take where it bolts to the hub and move it. If it moves easy, most likely its bad. With the inners, push it up. If it falls, its also probably bad. Its supposed to stay in position.

        Check that axle, too. I just went through this with my friends Neon. He had the replace the axle he put in three months ago.

          okay I will try that. accord=inspire? Said it could be the mounts too. Is there A way I can check to see if they are no good.

            Just look at them and see what condition they are in. I can't really say too much because I've never done them on a Honda, so I'm gonna keep my mouth shut on this.

              Okay I understand now. So if it is the tie rods how to i get them off the control arm. is there a speacial tool I have to use.

                Wheel balance, warped brake rotors, axles, damaged intermediate shaft, worn suspension components, tie rods, motor mounts.

                Any or all of those things will contribute to front end shaking. Pick one and start checking.

                  The outer and inner are connected. For the outer one, just unbolt it from the hub, loosen the jam nut, and basically unscrew it. For the inner, there is most likely a boot covering it. You need to get that off. After that, just unscrew it from the steering rack. There is probably a special tool for that, but my buddy just used a large adjustable wrench. Probably not the best way to do it, but it worked.

                  Just know that you will need an alignment after you take everything apart!

                      Don't just start replacing parts, though. It can get expensive that way. Research to see how to tell if something is bad.
