ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.
2 of 2 < >

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

That's garbage. Would you actually pay $300 for a fan and filter? If so, PM me, I'll build you a custom electric supercharger tuned for your exact engine set-up for half that price!

99.5% of any electric power adders are going to be junk. Save your money, buy some stickers. They'll give you just as much boost as that thing.

Seriously, for $300, get on CL and buy a used N2O kit.

damn $300 for a fan, not worth it.
Use those $300 for other mods like the h23 intake manifold and so on and so on.

I was talking cars with a friend of a friend who drives a Dodge Shadow and I was pretty sure he was all bullshit but I wasn't quite sure until he told me about his "E-Charger". He told he it gave him 50 horses and it was only $100 shipped on eBay. I was just like

BWA HA... BWA HA HA HA, its an HVAC Inline Duct Fan, if the fan blades don't act as a restriction itself, it takes more power from the alternator and engine then it possibly could gain. 4" Inline duct fan is good for about 40cfm/min. 50-70hp from 2psi? Not on a 4 cylinder even if there were any gains to be had. Better highway mileage? Its a restriction then, the engine is getting less air so the o2 compensates with less fuel, and less power. Around town I'd expect your mpg to drop, especially at idle, since its getting more air, it dumps more fuel... I can go on and on... but I'll leave that for another member...

$300 for that piece of sh*t? Hahahaha

                  Price breakdown for DIY:
Visit Home Depot and Your local Auto Parts Store and get the following:
                  4" Inline Duct Fan = $8
Premade 6ft heavy duty grounded replacement power cord: $8
                  Wire Caps: $1
                  150w Power Inverter: $18
                  Duct Tape: $3
                  Cheap Cone Filter: $5
                  = $43 + Tax

Shit I have everything I need right now other then the cone filter...

Like everyone else said... BAD IDEA! Do it right and Super/Turbo charge your car and/or go NOS!

Don't buy ANYTHING from that site... Any site called "customperformancechip.com" is 100% garbage.

The only electric supercharger worth owning is made by Thomas Knight. Check it out at www.boosthead.com. It's not cheap, and functions much like an infinitely renewable nitrous tank, rather than a full time supercharger.

If you want to do that, then get one of these bad boys:

It'll give you the same effect.

false, not the same effect. a leaf blower will actually improve your power output, a fake electric supercharger will not.
