Shifter won't budge

So, when i first pulled the old tranny off to install the new tranny, one of the little tabs on the clutch release bearing was broken off. It was one of the tabs that holds the bearing on the fork. Well, when i put the new tranny on, i put on a different bearing, and as you know, i had to pull the tranny again because it wasn't shifting.

After inspection, the second bearing now has a broken tab. So i'm wondering, what would cause the little tabs to break off? I posted a picture so you know what i'm talking about. I have a new bearing to install, and i would like for this one to not break.

Did you use an F22 fork on the trans when you changed it over?

The fork/pivots are differ from h to f trans. You have to get both from the same trans or else shit breaks

I left the same fork setup on the t2t4 that i've been using the whole time. I also just double checked them side by side, and they appear identical.

The differences are very small. The biggest difference is in the size of where the ball goes on the fork. One is deeper and slightly larger in diameter.

Either way, are these OEM units you're breaking? Accord or prelude?

The throw out bearings? they are NACHI brand, which supprisingly both my old tranny had, and the tranny on the car i just bought had. I don't think there are any OEM ones left, when i looked on honda's site, they had an off name brand.

So is the deeper and larger one the h22 one?

Double checked the forks, the correct one was and is on the right transmission. Got the bearing greased up and installed, now lets see if i can wrestle the tranny back on.

ok i'm relieved. I put the new bearing on, hooked everything back up, and it works. When one of the tabs broke off, the clutch release bearing must of became crooked and jammed up or something. Anyways, thanks for the helpful ideas people.
