ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

feels pretty alright, but i'll try bleeding to be sure. i had a shop replace both slave and master cylinders some time back so maybe they half-assed it

I have a squeaky master cylinder and it makes noise every time I press in the clutch and release it. But it still works fine.

I suspect it is squeaky because one of the mounting studs became partially unthreaded (not threaded all the way through the entire width of the master cylinder mounting base/flange, it was only only by maybe 2 or 3 threads) through the base of the master cylinder when I installed it, but I said "whatever" and left it like that because I only noticed after the job was done and I needed to drive the car and there was a good chance it was mounted well enough.

if you take a look at the master cyl from the engine compartment, you can see the three holes where the studs fit in. The studs should be threaded all the way through the mounting base. If not, that could be the problem.

*or* just try tightening the mounting nuts on the inside of the car under the clutch pedal. They could be unequal in tension or otherwise loose. That might help the squeaking.

In my case, I'm thinking the master cyl, is slightly out of alignment and the pedal pressure is causing the piston to want to travel slightly out of square with the bore and the sound is the seal squeaking against the bore. But I've never bothered to try and fix it. (4 years later)

It could be the slave cylinder in your case as well, but I doubt it. Master cylinder all the way.

Take it back and make sure they did their job. If not have them do it again and don't pay! Damn cheap skates.

All used master cylinders will make that noise. IT does it on my Accord and My civic.

i got that same noise, kinda bothers me when im driving with no music, but with some music on its fine, but idk its its natural or its some type of defect, might have to take it to my local shop to get it checked out to make sure its not ruining my car.

Don't bother. A squeaky master cylinder can ruin nothing but itself. When it fails you won't be able to shift. But you'll have plenty of warning first. When if fails you just replace it with another one. Done.
