understanding of ecu A1,A4,A6,

so correct me if im wrong. ive been trying to figure out swapping engines and ecu compatibilitie. in dealing with my 90 accord and putting in a newer engine, swapping from an a1 to a4 or a6 and seeing if ecu's plug and play. ive come to the conclusion that the layout or pinouts are the same when dealing with OBD1. There is that pinout A17 in the PT6 in dealing with the IAB.
but really the layout or pinouts are the same. (When dealing with these F22XX, SOHC.)
ive been doing hours of searching for pinouts on ecu's in dealing with swapping. And looking from year to year. and as long as i stay with OBD1 and f22XX engines i should have really no probs.

P.S. I know ive only scratched the service of this ecu game.

The PT3 runs the F22A1 and F22A4. There is no difference. The PT6 runs the F22A6. Either ECU will run the A1, A4, and A6 safely. However, the PT6 has a different fuel map for the A6's camshaft and intake manifold, as well as the wiring for the IAB (as you mentioned)

You will have no problems switching from year to year. The PT3 and PT6 are the same across the board. The only one that might be an issue is the ECU in the 90, as it is slightly different. It is still OBD1, but has an LED on it to be used to read error codes. The newer models don't have this LED.

so the engine i have is an a6 out of an 9/91 ex. so its a 92. please tell me that its still OBD1.

I wish it was but sadly no. It's a pic I got off of the bisimoto site. Too expensive for me. Hell the itb's alone on it cost as much, if not more, than an H22 swap lol.

ALL CB7s are OBD1 (well, all fuel injected CB7s... I don't know if the carburetted models outside of the US are still considered OBD1 or not... I would assume that they are not)
