Hey everyone. Well I've thought about getting another 4th gen to toy around with on the side and eventually make into a daily driver for cheap, fun, reliable transportation. I was the guy who had a picture of their old 92 up in the living room: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=138804
Today I looked at a 1991 White 4 door EX 5spd with about 227k on the clock. All electrical options work, interior is super clean, brakes feel good, clutch was replaced recently and tires are about 40% evenly worn. The only two issues I found involve the a/c not working and I think the synchros in third gear are done (I had to rev match when down shifting to get it to go in). The lady wants $2000 for it, which does seem a bit high, but NO rust and clean.
My plans: Drive it until the f22a in there just dies (pulled strong though blowing no smoke while I juiced it a bit), swap in a f22b DOHC, put in a lower mileage accord 5spd, lower it a tad, upgrade brakes, and a few little things hear and there.
My question is this (I've already done some research on the F22B DOHC); will the cruise control work on the F22? Where can I purchase one of these motors?
After owning a 99 Maxima, an 02 S2000, a 95 Accord V6, and now an '00 Accord coupe, I'm ready to try something cheap, easy, and fun to work on.
Thanks,
Cris P.
