ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    Oil light flickers rapidly

    1992 Honda Accord LX
When the engine gets hot the Oil light comes on and flickers.
The car is idling really low....but once I get the RPM's up the light goes off 99 percent of the time.
I heard something about raising the idle or something of the sort?
Could someone elaborate for me a little more please.

oil pump isnt building enough presure or oil pressure sensor is going out

high rpm, pump spins faster and higher psi. my guess is your oil pump is gettin weak

how low is your idle? below the 2nd big line on the tack?

Im making a guess right now because I haven't driven it for a long period in a while.

But I would say it goes down to the second line above 0 maybe down to the first...sometimes it shudders when at a stop light or if i press on the brake hard while stopped

adjust your idle up on the throttle body and see how it acts. it always do this since u owned it? or sudden new problem?

It started a little after I got it.
The o2 sensor is also out.
...and I've adjusted it higher and lower before and it still seems to act the same.

If the idle adjust screw does nothing, then there is a problem with the throttle body itself, or elsewhere like the iacv, fitv, air boost, or egr. My idle after warming up sits at 700-750rpms, and I have my idle screw tightened cw all the way. Turn it ccw to lower the idle. Turn it cw to raise the idle.

Which nut do i turn?...theres two.

I just went outside and adjusted it to a higher rpm it stops going down when it hits 750 i believe. not sure since there are 5 marks per 1000 RPMs
