ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    93 cluster on a 91

Hi I was wondering if I could use a 93 ex cluster on my 91 ex? is the wiring in the plugs different or is it just plug and play? Thanks

There are some differences between the 2. 1 being the 91 has the maintenance required light. The 9293 clusters have the SRS feature. And the different clusters, ie, Denso or Seiki may be wired differently.

I'm sure there are other differences, someone else feel free to chime in

Both are 5 speed clustrers. and both have maint push key reminder thing. I tried hooking it up and the wires smeem to be incorrect. like when I turn on the head lights the right blinker stays on and other lights come on that arent supposted to. I mean the plugs are the same but may wires are different?

check grounds. There is this little cluster of wires (looks almost like a little tan box actually) bolted w/10mm bolt on the pass side under the hood in the middle of the wheel well...well it's really near the battery but up on the wheel well.

If you remove the bolt and turn on the head lights, the right bumper turn signal comes on (stays on) and the left head light comes on...something like that...and brights won't work and blinkers won't work.

other then that as long as you matched the wires it should work.

*your sig made me remember this...when I was messing with my 240 trying to figure out why it wouldn't get power to the fuel pump, I ended up checking even the ignition cyl...wires changed colors from one connector to the other...and didn't match the diagram I had for that car either...pita!!!

I was doing the same damn thing like 3 weeks ago, i said fuck it, and swapped back in my 90-91 cluster. I came across the same damned problems. That blinker would stay on, and my "bright's" indicator was very dimly lit. The wiring doesnt match at all, it will require a rewire.

What i did do was remove the "Bezel" from the EX cluster, and installed it in my DX cluster. Looks pretty decent.

Make sure the clusters are the same, like Nippon Denso or Nippon Seiki??
