ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

You will most likely need custom mounts as the K20 is not a drop in replacement. IMO I would trade that K20 for an H22. K20s have terrible torque.

                  Fail.

k20 would be fun in an accord. Accord is ROUGHLY 2700lbs. RSX-s is 2700lbs. It works... H22 accord is about a 15 second card. Type-s is about a 15 second car. Difference? K series has a shit load of aftermarket, newer technology, and way more bragging rights.

K series ftw. Swap can be done, it's not cheap though.

K20Z3 has 197hp and 139 lbs of torque. What can it do that an H22 can't? The JDM H22 is 200hp and 161 lbs of torque. The K20s weak point is torque which is very important off the starting line. It may have more street cred, but I don't see any reason that it is "better" unless I missed something. It's also going to cost much more than an H swap which will eat up the cash for the extra mods.

do you really think the H22 is more superior to the K20? later.

at $$ per horse, yes the H22 is.

In stock form, they're about equal.
In terms of price and ease of swapping, the H22 is FAR superior for the CB7.

The Hasport kit won't help for the K20. It's for the Accord K24 only. It'd be a good starting point, but you would have to modify it.

And please stop typing like a retard. You're not texting your girlfriend, you're asking educated people for help and advice. If they think you are an idiot (and when you type like that, they do) they won't bother helping you. Respect.

Thanks guys. The k20 is definitely a more modern and more advanced engine. But for the money you can get more horses out of an H22 for our CB7s. A K20 sure would be cool, but only if you had the extra time and money. For me the $2200 for an h22 conversion with a 5spd is plenty expensive.

I firmly believe you really have no real world info on the k20, as it has a superior valve train to the h22, among other things, allowing it to produce excellent low end torque with superior top end. The intake cam gear on a k20 is adjusted on the fly by the ecu up to +50 degrees. These are some bolt on, internally stock examples of what the k20 does with a few simple things like I/RH/E and a tune. It is far more responsive to bolt on's than an h22.
Here are a couple examples, check the power band and torque.
