ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

The non-VTEC head has a better port design, and flows better. People REALLY need to stop comparing F/H frankensteins with the D/B frankensteins... the D/B motors respond well to it. The F/H motors don't have much to gain. At least not the ones we use (yanking the F22B1 head for something else could be a good idea... )

F20a SOHC has around 136PS ~ ish IIRC.

      the DOHC has 150PS

      the F20a is JDM

F20aX (numeric) could be EDM, or SOuth American, or Asian market motors

yep F20a2-8 are all in european cars, ranging from 110 to 147bhp

Most CB3's in the UK are F20a8 or 7s from what i gather

I know that the carb'd versions of the F20A are pretty much the bottom of the barrel. The only CB engine weaker would be the carb'd F18A.

I believe that the F20A that makes 150hp is DOHC. (and in re-reading this thread, I see that has already been said.. Oh well, doesn't hurt to repeat correct information! Though technically, it's PS and not HP)

I love to see so many non-US members posting in one thread! There are so many countries represented in this one conversation! (though I assume the guy with JPN as his location is just trying to be cool...)

Not a bad engine. In fact, quite possibly the best SOHC F20A there is. The head design should be similar to the F22A, which means you have the same performance potential.

what can be done to it??
can't seem to find any performance parts for that engine like a header or other stuff??

                      thanks

So what is the best head for an f20a... I've read that the f22a6 has a more aggressive cam than the f20a. My plans for my f20a is to get some cams i/h/e, h22 im/tb (already have). an get a tune. Considering boost but I want to explore the potentionals of an n/a car first..
