ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!
Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956
Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)
Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.
These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.
1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.
2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.
3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.
4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.
The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.
The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

i think that the 90-91 don't have holes is because there were no preludes with f22s in them.
so when 92 came around preludes started having f22s transmission housings
and there stud pattern is wider
so instead of honda manufacturing 2 different trans housings they just had all 5 holes premade and whatever car it was going in then they tapped into those holes
i tried writing that as clear has possible but might still be confusing

damn I think the only issue I had was the insert falling out.
but installation wise when you buy expensive stuff do a little more research. dont be afraid to ask questions even if people make fun.
this could have been drastically avoided. lots of pressure had to be applied to get the mount to look like that.
hint:
tranny mount first (not tightened)
driver side mount (not fully tightened)
rear mount (not fully tightened)
Last step: when all bolts are in that is when tightening begins!
good luck, live and learn. hope you get a replacement...free hopefully!

i have not sent john a pm yet but am about to
everything was tight the back mount i put in while the motor was out and took a rear bracket off my 90 lx 5speed
the trans mount and drivers mount were difficult to get at first but came together smoothly after i put the trans mount on before the drivers
it happened at 1200 miles of no real abuse(breaking in the motor and clutch)
no real abuse till i went to the track last week got in my lane right after we just pulled from driving 40 miles so my tires were warm and i didn't do a big burnout, launched at 2.5k and when i got to the end of the track and turned around and gave it some throttle and heard a sound like my axel was about to break so went easy on it and called it a night with a time of 17.2 something
on the way home in 3rd gear i let of the throttle then just pushed the gas maybe 50% and heard the same noise as before but coming from right behind my stereo and dash and then that when i assumed the mount did something weird like insert popped out get home look under the intake mani and saw little red pieces around the mount

The ESP CB Motor Mount Kit 5 spd and Auto to 5 spd Kits have been proven to work fine. The inserts we used have seen 600 hp abusively.
Our mount kits are just replication in much stronger steel and in polyurethane of OEM mounts. Can't really be off.
The issues I have encontured only twice in the last 2 weeks. Is the Rear Mount inserts being destroyed.
Both cases it was said the driver and transmission mount were hard to install, and either the rear half of the polyurethane towards the rear of the car was being squeshed more then then front.
This is what makes me believe the wrong Rear T Bracket is being used. Squeeshed rear insert of each driver and transmission mount and either jacking the engine severly to get the tilt of the engine in order to possibly use the Taller Ex Auto or 5 spd, Dx Auto, Lx Auto Rear T Bracket which wont work. Thus the rear mount fails and can't take the stress of the extra tilt.
Tell Tell sign if having the wrong Rear T Bracket is the rear halves of the driver and transmission mount being squeeshed severly and not so much in the front, and obviously tilting the engine severly in order to get the rear through bolt in.
What I do know:
90-93 Dx or Lx 5 spd Rear T Bracket will work
92-96 Prelude AUTO or 5 spd Rear T Bracket Will Work
Possibly Accord 5 spd Dx or Lx 94-97 Rear T Bracket Accoding to schematics
Ex transmissions not having the typical F series common stud pattern, has been brought to my attention this may be a 90-91 thing and 92-93 may be okay.
The common way to find out of your trans is okay with our transmission mount is if 3 studs being used in the common F series stud pattern, same position as any 90-93 Dx or Lx 5 spd Trans or 94-97 Accord All Models Trans. It may also have 2 extra openings/boss's for total of 5 previsions 3 being used already by studs. -John
