ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Legend Calipers on a cb7 upgrade

Has anyone considered a conversion on the front brakes using Acura Legend front calipers on a cb7?
    Will it work?
    Will the bolts match?

I know that these is a thread somewhere but I can't find it!

    Thanks!

    will work

the nipple will be pointing downward though, so air will stay in the caliper

I was planning on doin that, but yea they do fit.

ANd 1st Gen Acura Vigor Brakes as well they have 11.1 in rotors I believe

      What's needed is

Vigor rotors, calipers, and caliper brackets.
We can even use our stock brakes lines.

does the whole caliper sit higher than the brake line if the bleed nipple orientation is an issue?

If not, then the brake fluid could be filled backward from the caliper bleed nipple into the M/C reservoir then there would be no airlock issue.

Ok a lot of usefull information here people.
                Thanks!

The only reason why I was thinking of upgrading is because, according to me the brake systems on on the LX models with rear drums are completely useless.
When i first got the car i replaced every single part on that brake system and the brakes are still not up to what i expeceted them to be.
After some reserach here I found that the reason for that is the rear drums get looses after some normal driving, yes the brakes were great for the first couple of weeks, now the brake pedal travels down about half way untill the brakes really grab, so this is the only reason why i was thingking of upgrading.
                Thanks for all the info!

the stock accord brakes were designed fine from honda...not useless...they do work; they stop the car...the cb7 accord is suppose to be an economical car and was never meant to be a race/sport car, therefore didnt need perfomance brakes. but when you drive fast and mod your car, you gotta stop fast...therefore you'd wanna mod/upgrade your brakes. btw, drums require adjustment from time to time

Well I am not driving fast, nor I am driving crazy, bottom line is why all the other Economical that I have driven have good brakes and my accord doesn't.
I have already met with some people from Ohio Accords forum and seems that if you have the LX model with the drums, you are out of luck, if you have the EX or SE with the rear disks you don't have that problem.
So what do I do upgrade the drums to disks or upgrade the cb7 front calipers to legend calipers.

you can do both upgrades like i did, front 2 piston, and rear disc conversion...i did rear disc 1st. cause it was cheaper.., pulled off parts from a junkyard cb7 ex and worked fine...and i figured i upgrade the rear 1st to compansate and then upgrade fronts after cause i didnt want badass front brakes and still roll on drums in the rear...but its up to you
