ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    Reflector paint or Chrome paint

I open my old headlights and there is some scratches, on the chrome is there any reflector or chrome paint that we can buy?

There is by duplicolor but it's not that good of a chrome. Go and look through the DIY section and find the blackhouse one. That might give you an idea of something to do while they are apart. Other than the duplicolor chrome I'm not sure. May be some else will know. Good luck.

I have been looking at ALSA Corps chrome paint. I wonder how it would work in an application like this. The cool thing is that you could do a candy overtop to get a gold, bronze, black chrome or other effect. May be worth a try for someone.

Since they are in the headlight I'm assuming that they arent overly bad. Just get some chrome pollish and get to work. You should be able to buff 90% of it out.

Duplicolor will just make you $10 broker, and have awful looking headlights.

chrome polish will rub the chrome in the headlight right off since the chrome in the headlight isn't actual chrome. it's a chrome cladding, which is quite delicate. even if it were real chrome plating, chrome polish doesn't remove scratches from chrome.

the chrome paint found in store won't have the same crisp reflection as the chrome inside the housing. chrome spray paint has a dull shine similar to a fogged up mirror. not a good when optical clarity is importantl. later.

Ive used the chrome spray paint on a bike a few years ago and like Type G said it came out like a very dull, fogged up mirror. Im pretty sure it was Duplicolor so I dont know how any other brand would be.

Maybe silver leaf. Expensive, or be really dif and gold leaf it. That should have a pretty good shine to it.

it's like chrome plating or something i don't think u can fix them unless u take them to some paint shop or somewhere that does that type or chrome plating or w/e

i'd just let them be or get new ones
