I recently swapped the auto transmissions in cb7 and when I got everything back together it did not start. The starter sounds as if it is spinning but not hitting the drive plate. Is it possible that the new transmissions drive plate does not line up with my my starter? Is there another starter I can get that will fit? or could there be another problem all together?

Did you swap the transmission for another of the same type?
A whirring starter that isn't turning the engine usually means you have a busted starter.

the transmissions are both for f22. Im going to take the starter off and see if its not hitting the drive plate....do other size starters exist??Comment

Thats what i thought when my buddies kept saying there were different size starters. would the starter still turn over it failed?? Is there any way to tell if its the starter that failed??
